As part of our outreach to the community, the Windstorm Insurance Network has developed and compiled a directory of individuals that are qualified to serve as umpires in appraisal matters. These umpires are comprised of representatives from the property insurance industry, including defense and policyholder attorneys, engineers, accountants, retired judges, adjusters, consultants and contractors, among others. With almost 900 members, the Windstorm Insurance Network, Inc. (WIND) is a diverse group of professionals from all areas of the windstorm and property insurance industry. WIND was formed in 1999 with the goal to bring professionals together in the review and discussion of windstorm insurance issues and concerns.
